And the countdown has begun, there’s under two weeks to go until Easter, that time of the year when Uni students get two weeks off. What a two weeks it’s looking to be.
On Easter Monday, I’m heading across to Oxford to embark on a 5 day longboat cruise along the river Thames with my mates from the Pub Society. With two boats going, one themed pirates, the other navy, as well as 18 crew members it looks set to be a week of fun. Following the Boon Bush incident of 2015 (if you know, you know), a canal looks like it could present an interesting challenge.
On the Friday I’m dashing from Oxford, back to Hatfield. The reason? I’m swapping societies to join up with the Huskis (Ski and Snowboard society), where we’re heading to Tignes for a a weeks skiing as well as a fair few decent nights out with my housemates. Despite the 20 hour coach trip, it should all be worth it when we hit the slopes. I just hope my skiing is up to scratch as I haven’t been for a good 7 years!
Once the coach returns to Hatfield from Tignes, It’s straight up to Loughborough for the Student Publication Association’s National Conference, AKA SPANC. I’ve been shortlisted for Student Photographer of the year, and whilst I hope to get it, I’m proud of the achievement of being shortlisted in itself. It should be a good break with some good mates, then It’s back to Herts to get back into lectures.
Whatever happens on these three adventures, I’ll be sure to keep my blog updated.
