Whilst on placement, I spent a year working at Van Nuys airport. Being so close to all of the airplanes inspired me to buy my telephoto lens, a Nikon 70-300. The airport had a great viewing area dedicated to people who want to be close to the action, however, the sun was usually behind the airplane at the times I was able to shoot. N426RB is my favourite airplane, and the first one that I flew solo in.
